Description

Kassiopi is a developed tourist resort located on a small peninsula in the northeastern corner of Corfu Island, 36 km north of Corfu town and Corfu airport. It is the largest village in the northeast of the island and is unique among the resorts of Corfu, with tourist and historical interest.

This resort is a colorful place accessed by scenic coastal roads. It shares the same northern coastline with Sidari, Roda and Acharavi. It is a beautiful village, with traditional narrow streets and is overlooked by the ruins of an ancient castle. Once a quiet fishing village, Kassiopi has become a popular holiday destination, without losing its charm!

Kassiopi, with its little square, is today the focal point of the town’s social life by day and night. There are numerous restaurants serving traditional dishes as well as Mexican, Chinese and Italian. Nightlife here is fairly lively with bars and discos providing evening entertainment.

Despite its immense history, Kassiopi combines a wide range of modern facilities such as waterskiing and paragliding, as well as a diving center where you have the opportunity to take lessons and scuba expeditions for both adults and children; tennis courts, swimming pools and motor boat hire.

Furthermore, it is worth visiting the church of Panagia Kassiopitissa, which possibly has been built on the place of an ancient temple dedicated to Zeus Kassius.
