Old, abandoned village – preserved monument of architectural interest and historical value, located at an altitude of the highest mountain of Corfu, where you can reach on foot.

The old Perithia is the abandoned settlement of Perithia, a preserved historical monument since 1980. It is a village of Venetian architecture, hidden in the heart of mountain Pantokrator, at an altitude of 420 m.

Wander through the cobbled streets around the 130 traditional houses & mansions and the 8 (!) churches of the village, and travel back in time to the ambience and the craft of a long past era, when the inhabitants used to build settlements-hiding places, to protect themselves from pirates!

For a pleasant and exploratory walk, you can follow the route to the Old Town of Perithia, a place of architectural interest and historical value, full of myths and stories from the Middle Ages to World War II.
Old Perithia is 1.4 km from our accommodation, 8 km from the tourist resort of Kassiopi and 50 km from Corfu town.
